Ahmet Aydogan (President) was appointed as a non-financial Director in August 2012 and elected as the President of Australian Relief Organisation in February 2013.
Ahmet Aydogan has been involved in various charity and community organisations for the last 20 years in non-financial director positions, advisory and active committee member roles. Ahmet has also been on various organising committees of cultural festivals in and around Sydney. At present, he is an active member of the community as he provides Justice of the Peace and a Civil Marriage Celebrant services.
Mr Aydogan is currently employed as a Senior Business Analyst at UBT Digital working on major digital, marketing & IT projects.
Prior to his current position, he has been in senior IT related positions with various large financial, pharmaceutical & marketing institutions.
Cihan Tumen (CEO) is one of the founding directors of Australian Relief Organisation.
Previous to joining ARO, Mr Tumen has held a number of senior management roles in leading asset management companies in Australia and overseas. Later between 2006 to 2012, Cihan was the Secretary General for Galaxy Foundation in Sydney and delivered humanitarian aid and emergency relief programs for a number of countries.
With NFP sectoral experience, Mr Tumen was later involved in the establishment of Australian Relief Organisation. Since August 2012, Cihan has been running the organisation and overseeing its daily management as its Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Tumen holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, a Master of Business degree (University of Technology, Sydney), a Master of Islamic Studies degree (Charles Sturt University) and a Certificate in the Science and Practice of Sustainable Development (University of Queensland).
Hamit Yolcu has been actively involved in various charity and community organisations over
the past 30 years. Hamit has joined the Australian Relief Organisation in 2014 and has been serving on its board as a Director and Treasurer.
After working at Ege University Hospital’s Operations and Anaesthetics Department between 1986 to 1988, Hamit has worked as a Journalist for Zaman Newspaper in Turkey between 1988 and 1994.
Later, Hamit was the Editor/Representative for Zaman Newspaper in Sydney, Australia between 1995 and 1999. Hamit has been self employed since 1999 and runs a printing business in Sydney.
Mr Yolcu holds a Diploma in Medicine (Trakya University, Turkey), a Certificate IV in Small Business Management (NEIS, Sydney) and a Diploma in Islamic Studies (Charles Sturt University).
Naing Tun was appointed as the secretary of Australian Relief Organisation in 2014. Naing has an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering, and a Master degree in Engineering.
He has previously worked in various engineering positions in many global organizations, and currently employed as Project Engineer at Howden.
He has been involved in charity and community works for many years.
Originally from Myanmar, Dr. Naing Win (Vice President) received his M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2005.
In 2006 he migrated to Australia along with his wife and served in different hospitals throughout the country until he joined General Practice in 2011. He is currently working at a group practice in Bowral, NSW.
He spends his spare time by volunteering in various charity events and student scholarship campaigns. Fluent in English, Burmese and Turkish, Dr Win has been acting as the Vice President of the Australian Relief Organisation since 2012.
