Sleep warm at night?
Every night, 50,000 women are homeless in Australia.
Join us in supporting a homeless shelter for its shelter and transportation needs.
Homeless Women in Australia
There are 50,000 homeless women in Australia. Due to domestic violence, family and financial crisis, or a job loss, women become homeless and are forced to live under unsafe conditions.
While many have their children living with them on the streets, female homelessness in Australia turns into human tragedy with many women killed, hospitalised or attacked over the recent years.
Government and councils are trying to respond to the issue, however existing services cannot meet the demand for safe housing available to women at risk.
ARO is now partners with a Homeless Shelter in NSW
As a response to this alarming humanitarian issue, Australian Relief Organisation recently became partners with a Homeless Shelter in NSW.
Due to overwhelming demand and newly opened shelters, our partner is in need of many household items for women at risk.
After meeting with homeless shelter management, our organisation is now introducing two projects to meet their urgent needs
Project 1 – Shelter Needs – Target $3,540
Various bedding and homeware needs for a female shelter of 15.

This project is now fully funded. Thank you

Presented on 30 June 2017, our cheque covered expenses for Project
Project 2 – People Mover Vehicle – Target $17,250
A second hand People Mover Vehicle is needed for the female Shelter.
The vehicle will be used to move/pick up/transfer women and children regularly.
