Orphanage Refurbishment Oct 2014
As the Australian Relief Organisation, we have completed a refurbishment project in October 2014 at an orphanage where 77 orphans reside in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Following a visit to the orphanage in April 2014, our officials have identified the needed equipment for the orphanage, conducted a joint feasibility study through our local paartner Mekong Charity and launched a campaign by June 2014.
Thanks to our sponsors, funds needed for the project was raised through our community and our organisation have replaced 77 sets of bedroom materials including mattresses, covers, pillows and blankets for the orphans.
For the ceremony, a delegation of our officials and volunteers visited the orphanage by October 2014 and carried out the replacement activity personally. A plaque is now located at orphanage for the acknowledgement of the charitable activity carried by the Australian Relief Organisation and the Islamic Medical Association of Cambodia has also provided our organisation an appreciation letter for its efforts.
