Legacy of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Blackmores Sydney Running Festival (BSRF) commenced in 2001 to promote fitness for the NSW community. Final event was held on 17 Sept 2017, and for the first time this year, Australian Relief Organisation was announced as an Official Charity Partner of the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival with other leading charities.
Our partnership to BSRF is significant, as it
- allows us to mobilise our community for a healthier nation,
- increases awareness for our humanitarian programs,
- increases brand recognition among public,
- provides us credibility with other leading Australian charity partners,
- gives us an opportunity to fundraise for our charitable operations.
Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is also a significant fundraising activity and it supports a number of charities. Raising over $1.6 mn, 204 teams were formed in 2017 by community members to raise financial support to BSRF official charity partners.
As an Official Charity Partner to BSRF, we had a number of teams and individuals fundraising for our organisation. Through volunteering, a youth group from our community also assisted the BSRF Organisation Team on the day and provided logistical support to contestants.
We congratulate all contestans for their participation in the 2017 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. We are grateful to our fundraisers and look forward to your continued support in our future sports activities.
