Ali Goru, Victoria State Manager

Ali Goru has joined the Australian Relief Organisation in May 2015.

Previously, Mr. Goru has worked years as a Science Teacher and a Vice Principal in various high schools across Turkey for two decades. Later between 2000 to 2012, Ali has acted as the School Principal for Sirius College in Melbourne (for both Geelong and Eastmeadows campuses).

With his wide management experience, Ali has later acted as the Childcare Services Coordinator for Moonstar Kids Academy. Concurrently in 2013, Ali was involved in the establishment of a charitable organization in Melbourne called “Empathy Australia Ltd” as its CEO.

By May 2015, Ali has set up our Melbourne branch and has since been our State Manager in Victoria.
Mr. Goru holds a Bachelor of Education degree (Hons) from Anadolu University of Eskisehir in Turkey.

 

 

Andaleeb Refaie, Community Engagement Officer

Andaleeb Refaie is the Community Engagement Officer for Australian Relief Organisation.

In addition to maintaining regular contact with our donors; Mrs Refaie also initiates contact,
hold meetings and establish new partnerships with external stakeholders for our organisation.
Her scope of work include individual donors, schools, councils, businesses and corporations.
Andaleeb also runs information sessions on our humanitarian programs and runs social
activities for volunteers, youth and general public.

Previously, Andaleeb has worked at Westfield Limited as Accounts Payable and Expense
Administrator and gained skills in Accounting, Customer Service and Office Management.
In 2013, Andaleeb attained a Diploma in Business and Management in Australia. Achieved in
2007, she also holds a Masters in Science from Jinnah University in Pakistan.

 

Nargis Sultana, Bookkeeping & Administration Officer

Nargis Sultana is our bookkeeper. She also handles our office administration.

Between 2006 and 2012, Mrs Sultana has worked for Basic Bank Ltd in Bangladesh as
Assistant Banking Officer and FX Officer. After moving to Australia, Mrs Sultana has
achieved a Certificate IV, a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting from TAFE
between 2012 and 2015.

Following her work with H&R Block and TeleResources in Australia, Mrs Sultana is now
responsible for our MYOB bookkeeping, handles financial reports, BAS and audit procedure.
Her office management duties include shop assistance, website and social media updates as
well as graphic design work such as annual reports, e-newsletters and other marketing
material.
