Every Eid ul-Adha, the same conversation runs through Aussie Muslim family group chats: “Which Qurban are you giving this year?”

For 2026, ARO offers three tiers. Each one is halal, tax-deductible, and performed by qualified individuals on your behalf. The difference comes down to where the Qurban is delivered — and how confidently the price matches the need on the ground.

The three Qurban 2026 tiers at a glance

Tier

Price

Where it goes

Best for

Africa, Asia & Pacific

$180 AUD

Performed and distributed across Africa, Asia, and Pacific countries (such as Cambodia, Tanzania)

Donors who want a strong-impact Qurban at the most accessible price point. The most popular choice.

Where Most Needed

$230 AUD

ARO directs the Qurban to whichever of its 11 countries has the greatest need at the time of Eid

Donors who trust ARO’s on-ground teams to make the call for maximum impact

Lebanon & Yemen

$450 AUD

Specifically Lebanon and Yemen — two of the world’s most severe food crises

Donors with a particular intention for the Middle East, or who want their Qurban in the hardest context

All three are halal, performed during the days of Eid ul-Adha 2026 (10th–13th of Dhul Hijjah), and tax-deductible under ARO’s DGR endorsement (ABN: 60 159 966 659).

When to choose $180 — Africa, Asia & Pacific

Pick this if:

  • You want your Qurban to feed a family — full stop. You don’t have a strong preference for a particular country.

  • You’re giving multiple Qurban shares (for yourself, a parent, a deceased relative) and want each one to count without stretching your budget.

  • You’re a student, a young earner, or a household trying to participate at a sensible price point.

  • You appreciate that ARO has been delivering Qurban across Asia, the Pacific, and Africa for 13+ years.

This is the tier most Aussie Muslim donors choose. In 2025, ARO’s Qurban program — including this tier — reached 24,000 families and 120,000+ people.

When to choose $230 — Where Most Needed

Pick this if:

  • You want maximum impact, not maximum control.

  • You’re aware that conditions on the ground change between Eids — last year’s stable community might be in the middle of a crisis this year.

  • You’re comfortable letting ARO’s local teams make the judgement call about where the need is greatest in late May 2026.

When to choose $450 — Lebanon & Yemen

Pick this if:

  • You feel a particular pull toward the Middle East — through family, heritage, or witnessing the news coverage of recent years.

  • You want your Qurban delivered into one of the world’s most severe food crises.

  • You understand that the higher price reflects real costs — livestock, logistics, and safe distribution in unstable conditions — not a markup.

  • You’re giving on behalf of a deceased parent or relative whose roots are in the region.

A common question: can I give more than one Qurban?

Yes. Many Aussie Muslim donors give multiple Qurban — one for themselves, one on behalf of a deceased parent, sometimes one for each member of the family. You can give as many shares as you like across any combination of tiers. Each generates its own tax-deductible receipt.

For families pooling together — across a household, a workplace, or a mosque — see our Group Qurban 2026 guide.

The $50 question: is “Where Most Needed” worth the extra $50 over $180?

A fair question — and one we hear every year. Here’s how to think about it:

  • $180 sends your Qurban to a region ARO already serves regularly across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. The need there is real and consistent.

  • $230 acknowledges that the worst need in May 2026 might not be where it was a year ago. The extra $50 covers the higher operating cost of crisis-affected regions and gives ARO the flexibility to act on current conditions.

If you’ve ever wished your charity dollar could “respond in real time”, $230 is the closest you’ll get with Qurban.

Whichever tier you choose — don’t miss the deadline

Eid ul-Adha 2026 is expected around 27 May 2026 (subject to moon sighting). Qurban must be received before the third day of Eid to be valid. ARO recommends donating well before Eid morning — earlier gives our teams more time to plan a dignified distribution.

And every tier:

  • Is halal — performed by qualified individuals per Islamic guidelines.

  • Is tax-deductible in Australia (ATO-endorsed DGR).

  • Includes an instant email receipt.

  • Is delivered on your behalf — no follow-up required from you.
